Snoring

Can't a guy just sleep in peace?

Rice cereal

Here are a few videos of Jackson eating rice cereal for the first time. Yes, I realize that my hand is in front of his face the entire time; but at least you can see the aftermath of each bite. Sometimes I forget that I'm left-handed.

Speaking of bites, we've got some teeth trying to poke through. Tonight was actually a pretty tough night. In a way, it helps to know that he is teething, but it's so hard to watch him struggle and cry. One of the bottom ones has already broken the surface, so I think the second one is giving him some trouble now. Poor little dude.

Swimming lessons!

For the past three weeks, we've been taking Jackson to a 30 minute swim class at Cas's gym. The class consists of us just taking him up and down the lanes, on his tummy and on his back. Surprisingly, he hasn't cried yet, even when we dunk him. As you'll see from the pictures, he just sits there, expressionless, like he's just waiting for us to finish having fun with him. No eye contact, at all. The class is only 30 minutes long because the little ones can only take so much of the water before they get too cold. We have a little rash guard that he wears to keep him warm, but usually by the end of the class his bottom lip is quivering. Mom, don't call DSS.

It's a blast!

Here are a few pictures from last Sunday.

Saturday morning pictures

Here are a few pictures from this morning. Time to get out of my pj's now. What time is it? Ah, how I love the weekends.

How did this happen?

Yes, he can stand. Ok, he fell over about two seconds after I snapped this picture, but he was up on his own for a little while!

This last week has been pretty crazy for J-Money. He rolled over, he can almost sit up, he is standing (again, sort of) and I am noticing different sounds coming from his mouth- they actually sound more word-like. No wonder he hasn't been sleeping well! I think we'll try the rice cereal out this week too. The past two nights, the only thing that got him back to sleep at 2 a.m. was a nice big bottle, so we'll try to pork him up a bit more during the day.

Also, I have to point out that Jackson and Ryan Cooley have matching outfits (thanks to Augy and Kelly). I saw Ryan wearing his today and was inspired. Dan, I think you and Cas should bring your sweatsuedos to Mexico and we'll have a little photo shoot.

I was just folding clothes. . .

So yesterday, I put Jackson on the bed as I started to fold clothes. He would laugh every time I shook out a t-shirt, so of course, I did it again and again and again- on camera.

More Christmas Pictures

I finally got my South Dakota Christmas pictures uploaded. My captions are much nicer than Nat's. (Nicer to me anyway- haha.) I think hers are funnier though. Here they are.

FINALLY!

I have tried to get it on video about 10 times, but of course, it never happens when I'm ready. Jackson finally rolled over onto his tummy tonight! He has been so close for a few weeks now, but just couldn't get that bottom shoulder to make the turn.

Also, here are some additional 5 month pics. I just finished loading the last batch of Christmas pictures too, so those will be coming soon.

A Few 5-Month Pictures

I know we've been slackers lately and this isn't going to help all that much, but here are a few pictures I've taken over the last two weeks. Work got really busy for both of us this month (boooooooooooo). Cas has Monday off, so we'll be sure to get some quality posting done over the next few days!!!
