More pics

Here are more 6-month pictures. Sorry for the Jackson overload!

I also forgot to mention in the last post that my mom and Aunt Mary were here over President's Day weekend. As always, the time went by way to quickly, but we made the most of it and had a great time. We miss you guys and love you!!!

Jackson's details

I know I've been posting pictures, but It's been a while since I updated you on Jackson's likes, dislikes, quirks, stats, etc. so this post will take care of all that. To go along with that, here are more pictures from the kid's 6th month of life. I must admit that he has become so much more entertaining these past few weeks!

Stats at 6-month appointment:

Height: 27 inches

Weight: 18 lbs 6 oz (whoa)

Head: big

New developments:

-> We have conquered solid foods. So far, there are no allergies and really no aversions to any of the foods. His favorites are pears, squash, peas and sweet potatoes. We are also working on mastering the sippy-cup. Right now, he just chews on it, but it's only been a week.

-> Crawling- sort of. It's more of an army crawl, but it's fast. I've noticed the past few days that he is starting to get up on his knees, so I think he'll be doing the real thing soon.

-> He says "Mama". He doesn't know what it means, but who cares?

-> SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! Need I say more?

-> I think he makes fun of my laugh. Every now and then, he'll do this high-pitched laugh/cackle thing that I'm pretty sure is his way of mocking me. I guess I'll have no way of knowing for sure until he can talk.

-> He is beginning to understand cause and effect. It has just been amazing to watch him change from this helpless baby, into a little boy who likes to knock over blocks, look at books and play with his train. It gets more and more fun each day.

Jackson, Rowan, Henry pictures

As promised, here are the pictures from Jackson, Rowan and Henry's playdate (hate that word) the other day.

Also, I couldn't help myself, but Jackson laughed again the other day while I was folding laundry. I think it was a combination of him being tired and the breeze feeling funny on his face because he doesn't do this every time. Thank goodness for You Tube!

Three Amigos Reunion Tour

Rowan and Henry came over to play last week, so of course, we had to take a new picture to see their progress. I'll put the original down below so you can see how big they have grown! Rowan and Jackson are 5 weeks older than Henry so he wasn't quite able to participate, but I'm sure he'll be ready for them next time. We did find out that Henry is a sympathetic crier. At one point, Jackson got a little overwhelmed and started to fuss. Henry had been playing happily, but once he looked over and saw Jackson, he started crying too. It was really sweet.

It is really fun to watch them interact. Basically they just steal toys from each other and grab each other's faces. The moms just sit back and referee to make sure no one gets hurt. . . much.

I will get the pictures of them playing posted soon!

My little rock star

Anyone who knows me will not be the least bit surprised that we own this t-shirt. It's one of my favs. I had been saving it for a while because it is a 6 mo., but 1.) I didn't realized that it fits sort of like a muscle shirt and 2.) Jackson is a little chunky right now. So, he'll probably get to wear it once more and then it will be locked away in the hand-me-down box. Oh well- at least I have the pictures to prove it.

Um, yeah. Sorry about that.

I see my last post was from January, so I must apologize for the laziness. This is unacceptable. I promise to never have such a long break in between again. Since my last post, Jackson has gotten his driver's license, graduated from high school, and gone off to college. My, how the time flies.

Actually, we did have one big life event in January. Jackson was baptized on January 27th. It was a really fun day, and considering Jackson had already gone to swim class and had a bath that morning, he was quite the trooper getting his head wet a third time. Here are the pictures from the big day.
