If you would prefer not to see these via slide show, here is the link to the album:

Jackson Paul- 8 Months Old

Jackson in jail

I just thought this was a funny one.  I am working on getting the 8 month pics uploaded now, so I'll try (Edie) to post (Edie) them (Edie) tomorrow (EDIE).

A Few Reasons Not to Buy Nice Furniture

I went into Jackson's room at the beginning of the week and noticed that some paint had chipped (or so I thought) on the corner of his crib.  It looked like this:

Then, I looked at Jackson and he just happened to have the same color of paint around his mouth.  Interesting. . .
So, I continued to survey the crib and soon realized why he had been so quiet lately when I wouldn't immediately get him in the morning.

It looks like he was counting the minutes that he was left alone.  He has done this around the front three sides of the crib and now that his top teeth are coming in, there are little grooves on the top of the rails too.  I think it might be too late to get the guards.

Jackson Knows Sign Language

He picked this up from the Baby Einstein, "First Signs" DVD. The unrated version, of course.

Not even 3 yet

I know I've been slacking on pictures lately, so I apologize. I promise to put some up soon! I just have a quick story to share:

Whenever I'm feeding Jackson, he likes to rock back and forth in his high chair and bang his head against the back of it. It sounds terrible and I can't believe it doesn't hurt him- he just has this big smile on his messy face. The problem is that it's really hard for me to get the spoon in his mouth and I don't want to gag him.

The other day, I was trying to be patient and assumed he would stop eventually. Not the case, of course. So, I grabbed the front of his bib, looked him in the eyes and sternly said, "Jackson, NO".

His immediate response: to spit oatmeal in my face.
